Kindness is often associated with our actions towards others, but it is equally important to show ourselves kindness. In fact, kindness towards oneself is a key component of self-care.
Self-care is an essential aspect of a woman’s life. It goes beyond pampering oneself with bubble baths and spa treatments; it is a holistic approach to nurturing oneself physically, mentally, and emotionally. By prioritising self-care, women can create a foundation of wellbeing that allows them to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and grace.
When we show ourselves kindness, we are acknowledging our worth and treating ourselves with compassion and respect. This means taking the time to listen to our bodies and minds and honouring our limits and boundaries. It means allowing ourselves to rest when we are tired, nourishing our bodies with healthy foods, and engaging in activities that bring us joy and fulfilment.
Understanding kindness as a self-care practice also involves recognising areas in our lives where we may be neglecting our own needs. It means acknowledging the importance of self-care and making it a priority in our daily lives.
It is important to recognise that self-care looks different for every woman. Each person has their own unique combination of elements in life, such as physical, psychological, emotional, social, professional, environmental, spiritual, and financial aspects. By identifying these areas, we can tailor our self-care routines to address our specific needs. One way to incorporate kindness into our self-care routine is through the use of tools and resources that support our growth and well-being. This is where subscription boxes like Project Kind’s Squad Box can be invaluable. I developed these Project Kind Squad Boxes to provide, support, inspire, and up-skill women with the tools and resources to level up in life by addressing elements of one’s wellbeing with a theme applied to each bi-monthly box to help you launch and grow into your best self, because I truly believe every human is worth it.
My desire to show all women that kindness needs to equally be given inward through these boxes is simply because it took me a heck of a long time to do so myself. Now that I am here in this space, I want to shout it from the rooftops and create space for every woman to feel empowered and worthy!
Our August box theme is ‘finances’. While this is an element in every person’s wellbeing tool belt, it is also all too often seen as a taboo topic, particularly for women. The theme of this month’s box was set in December 2022; however, I was still unsure how this box would come together and what value I could provide my subscribers. Cue Amanda Thompson.
I had the privilege to read Amanda’s Amazon Best Selling Book ‘Financially Fit’, and suddenly I realised within myself that I am without a doubt financially unfit. This invaluable source of knowledge provides you with award-winning financial advice and practical solutions to getting on top of your finances and staying there. Even more so, Amanda empowers you to live the life you want, define your goals, and use financial wisdom to achieve them. This book packs a punch with a good dose of reality, and I knew it just had to be the crowning jewel of my August finance theme, Squad Box, to support my subscribers in improving their financial wellbeing.
Financial wellbeing levelled up… activating now.
